TYPE OF WINE

Red Signature Rioja wine, from a vineyard of approximately twenty five acres, (diez hectáreas”) situated between the towns of Villabuena and Samaniego, La Rioja.

VARIETIES

Tempranillo grape from vines over 60 years old.

FERMENTATION

In stainless steel tank with temperature controlled at 28 degrees Celsius. Vatting lasted 14 days during which time the lees were pumped over the cap on a daily basis.

AGEING

Aged for 24 month in American and French oak cask and, later, refined in bottle.

TASTING NOTES

Red cherry colour; deep aroma of ripe fruit, very spicy, with a certain touch of vanilla coming from the American oak. Ample and very well balanced in the mouth. Perfect harmony between subtle tannis and a pleasant acidity. Full bodied, log and elegant.
