100% Tempranillo Negro from our vineyards over 60 years old, situated at about 650 meters altitude, in clay-calcareous soil, planted in small fields and prunned with the “poda en vaso” system; the most traditional prunning style permiting an optimum fruit exposure to the sun. The production is very slow with less than 3.000 Kg. per hectare.
Long and intense maceration. Temperature controlled fermentation. Aging during 6 months in new french oak barrels of very light toasting plus another 6 months in bottle.
Ruby red with some cherry tones and bluish and purplish shines making a great combination of fresh fruity aromas.
Great complexity in the mouth reminding matured fruits and spicy, superb acidity, well structured and very tasty tannins; very long and woody aftertaste.
Eggs, roasts, fish, red meats, cured cheese and all kind of desserts containing chocolate.
